Golf Course, Driving Range & Pro Shop
"A superior golf course is like a fine wine; it must have exceptional character, balance, complexity, and an excellent finish." --Scott Mathis, Algodon Wine Estates CEO
Though many great golf courses and wineries exist in the world today, nowhere are the two combined to create an experience like the one you'll find at Algodon Wine Estates. Here golfers will enjoy 18 holes* of championship golf that literally play through lush vineyards, natural water reserves, olive groves, and walnut, pear and plum orchards. With the Sierra Pintada and snowcapped Andes Mountain ranges towering on the horizon, players will experience a one-of-a-kind golfing adventure in the beauty of Argentina's quintessential wine country. After hitting a few great shots, celebrate with your companions over a choice glass of wine from our vineyards, and enjoy a toast to one another as you drink golf memories. This is as good as it gets.
At 7,400 yards from the tips, our championship course will be a challenge for the low handicapper; yet the 5 different tee boxes make the course accessible to the entire family. The original course was designed by the grandson to golf legend José Jurado; "The father of Argentine Professional Golf", who is perhaps best known for his losing stroke to Tommy Armour at the 1931 British Open. The famous double bogey was at Carnoustie Golf Club's 17th hole, and is reproduced in this course. With a recent upgrade from 9 to 18 holes, our landscaping team opted for a noninvasive design approach by allowing the course to grow into its surroundings and reflect a harmonious synergy with the natural beauty of the vineyards.
Our championship course runs through our delightful Wine & Golf Village, which features gorgeous estate homesites and vineyards in an idyllic setting that pairs memorable wines with memorable golf. Just a stones-throw away, our charming golf clubhouse includes a pro shop and an award-winning restaurant, and was artfully constructed using a combination of local wood, stone, straw and reed, crafting a pleasing aesthetic of cozy, rustic antiquity.
