Master Plan
Algodon Wine Estates has engaged the internationally acclaimed architectural firm of Bormida & Yanzon, who are perhaps best known for their dramatic and innovative architectural design of wineries all over South America.
Bormida & Yanzon have designed the master plan for the expansion of several aspects of Algodon Wine Estates including six distinctly different villages within the estate that collectively include 300 homesites, ranging between 1-15 acres (0.4-6 ha) each, as well as approximately 50 condominium-style casita townhomes and approximately 12 tennis villas for private sale and development. Warner Architects in collaboration with Gerhard Heusch of Heusch Inc. are overseeing the realization of the master plan. The expansion will enhance our current championship golf facilities from 9 to 18 holes, and will also include a championship tennis center that has been designed with the goal of attracting and hosting some of Argentina's most significant international tournaments. The tennis center will feature 7 clay courts (including a center stadium), 3 hard courts, and 1 grass court, as well as a clubhouse, locker-room and large-scale pool. The master plan also features 2 polo fields, stables, a polo clubhouse and restaurant, and numerous riding trails and pastures. These features are already under construction, and will be completed and open for play by May, 2009. A state-of-the-art winery and wine cellar are also in the works and will complement our existing boutique winery and cellar, where our vineyard estate owners may bottle and label their own exclusive family labels. Plans for a state-of-the-art olive oil bottling center for our more than half-century year-old olive orchard are also underway. An additional 18 room lodge is scheduled to be erected during the next phase of construction, and Algodon Wine Estates also intends to develop a premium luxury hotel featuring ultramodern amenities and services, and a luxury spa, fitness & wellness center in the near future.
