Known worldwide for its quality slopes, Las Leñas provides the best skiing in Argentina, and arguably the best skiing in all of South America, serving as the the summer choice of the U.S., French, and Swiss Olympic ski teams.  Las Leñas offers an ideal season from June to October with a slope that runs 1400 m (4600 ft), and ski runs with over 40 km (25 miles) of extensions. In the off-season, activities such as horseback riding, mountain biking, hiking and rock climbing are also popular. El Sosneado valley, Los Molles (Malargüe), Valle Hermoso, are also conveniently located and offer an abundance of recreational excursions including thermal baths, fishing, hiking, sightseeing and more.
