This wine is made from 100% Bonarda, harvested in March and macerated and fermented in stainless steel. It was then aged in new American oak for 12 months.

Tasting Notes: Deep purple color, robust, firm and complex aromas of ripe red fruits, that are balanced with the delicate vanilla flavor of the American oak. On the palate the wine is mouthfilling with the fruit showing a hint of spice. It has a lingering aftertaste. Despite being already easy to drink now, the firm tannins will allow for considerable aging.

Algodon’s 2008 Bonarda (100%) spent 12 months in new American oak. Floral, plum, mulberry, and underbrush notes compose the bouquet of this full-bodied effort. Ripe, round, and flavorful, this tasty effort has the balance and stuffing to drink well for another 5-6 years. - 90 point rating; Robert Parker`s The Wine Advocate
