Double Gold, 2010 VINUS International Wine & Spirits Competition

This wine is a blend of our very best cuvees of, primarily Malbec, and also Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah and Merlot. The grapes were harvested in March and macerated and fermented in stainless steel. The wine was then aged in new oak for 18 months, before assemblage.

Tasting Notes: Deep opaque plum in color. It has soft velvety berry fruit with hints of mint. On the palate it is very concentrated , showing raspbery, blackberry and cassis in a summer pudding of flavor. It is massively powerful needing several months to develop and several years to achieve its zenith. A masterful and deliciously complex wine.
